Rene S. Asoy is a distinguished public servant from Brgy. Pasil, New Lucena, Iloilo, whose career reflects competence, integrity, and a steadfast commitment to community service. He completed his secondary education at Sacred Heart Academy – Zarraga and earned his Bachelor of Science in Accountancy from the University of San Agustin, Iloilo in 1996. Driven by his pursuit of professional growth, he further obtained his Master in Business Administration (MBA) from the same university in 1999.

        His exemplary leadership and dedication have consistently earned him the trust and confidence of his constituents. Notably, he topped the Sangguniang Bayan elections in 2016, 2022, and 2025, affirming his enduring rapport with the people of New Lucena. He first served as Sangguniang Bayan Member from 2016 to 2019, returned to office from 2022 to 2025, and continues to serve in the present term (2025–present).
