Mauro R. Laguardia Jr., a dedicated public servant from Bliss, Wari-Wari, New Lucena, Iloilo, has devoted much of his life to service and leadership. He began his academic journey at Jelicoun-Cabugao Elementary School and Jelicoun-Cabugao Barangay High School before pursuing higher education at New Lucena Community College, where he earned his degree in Midwifery and became a licensed Registered Midwife (R.M.).

        With a strong sense of duty, he joined the Integrated National Police–Philippine National Police (INP-PNP) in 1984, where he served with honor and commitment until 2013. Following his retirement from the police service, he continued his calling in governance, first as a Sangguniang Bayan Member from February 20, 2023, to June 30, 2024, and once again as an elected SB Member beginning in 2025.

        Through his years of public service, both in law enforcement and in local governance, Mauro R. Laguardia Jr. has demonstrated integrity, discipline, and a steadfast dedication to the welfare and progress of New Lucena. His commitment to the people remains a guiding force in his continued role as a servant-leader of the municipality.
