Jeffrey Vales Araneta, a dedicated public servant from Sollesta Street, Poblacion, New Lucena, Iloilo, has devoted much of his life to serving the people of his community. He began his educational journey at New Lucena Central School and continued his secondary education at New Lucena National Comprehensive High School. He later pursued higher studies at the University of San Agustin, where he earned a degree in Bachelor of Arts major in Political Science.

        His career in public service started early, serving as Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) Chairman from 2002 to 2007. Guided by his passion for community development, he rose to greater responsibilities and was elected as Punong Barangay from 2010 to 2019. His strong leadership and commitment to good governance earned him the trust of his constituents, paving the way for his election as Vice Mayor of New Lucena from 2019 to 2022. Continuing his journey in local governance, he now serves as a Sangguniang Bayan Member beginning in 2025, where he remains steadfast in advancing programs and policies that uphold the welfare of his fellow New Lucenahons.

        Mr. Araneta’s long-standing record of service reflects his dedication to inclusive progress, responsive leadership, and the continuous pursuit of the town’s vision for a more sustainable, empowered, and prosperous community.
