On August 21, 2026, the streets of New Lucena will once again come alive as the Municipal Government of New Lucena holds the 12th Annual Run Against Illegal Drugs plus Smoking and Vaping (RAID+SV)—a community run with a purpose that goes far beyond the finish line.

Starting at 5:00 AM at the New Lucena Municipal Grounds, Brgy. Poblacion, RAID+SV brings together students, families, government employees, partner agencies, athletes, and community members in a united stand against illegal drug abuse, smoking, and vaping.

For twelve years, the activity has used sports and community participation as platforms for advocacy. This year's run continues that tradition by encouraging New Lucenanhons to make healthier choices while strengthening public awareness of the harmful effects of prohibited drugs, tobacco products, and vaping.


Participants can choose among three categories designed to make the event accessible to everyone: 1 KM for ₱20, 3 KM for ₱20 for students and ₱30 for non-students, and 5 KM for ₱30 for students and ₱50 for non-students.

RAID+SV is not simply about how fast or how far we can run. Every participant represents a voice for prevention, healthy living, and a safer community. Every kilometer sends a message that positive change becomes stronger when citizens, government, families, and institutions move together.

This advocacy reflects the spirit of UNA New Lucena—putting the well-being of our people at the center of local governance and encouraging everyone to become active partners in building a healthier community.
